World Water Day!

Did you know that today, March 22, is World Water Day? I didn't. So now we both know!

 

Most of us know enough about water to know that we want enough clean, drinkable water to drink 8-10 eight ounces glasses per day. (Are you doing this? If not, START!) But again, for most of us, all that really requires of us is a working faucet, water cooler, or even a hose. 

 

Eating Disorder Awareness Week

It's certainly been quite some time since there's been a blog here on the good ol' Allcare Medical page. We'll have to make sure that changes! And speaking of changes, there have been some big ones around here! But we'll get to that soon!

 

In an effort to keep up to date with health in the news, let's talk about eating disorders. This week is Eating Disorder Awareness week. 

 

Allcare Moving Day

Today was a bit of an emotional and, to be honest, stressful day. Today the Allcare Team splits up for the first time as the Prior Authorization Department, President Bill, Bob the Callfire King, and All-Purpose Johnny moved to a new building. 

 

We're excited at the change even though we're also a bit sad to be splitting up. But since we're only about five minutes away from the old office, it probably won't be too bad. 

 

And we got a super sweet going away party out of the deal, so I'll take it!

National Coffee Day!

Good morning Allcare Blog Readers!

 

It's just about nine o'clock in the office and I am feeling fairly chipper today! As a vocal hater of Thursdays and a completely unashamed cave monster in the mornings, how is it I am so chipper today?

 

The miracle of coffee!! Today is National Coffee Day and I am already celebrating!

 

I'm almost on to my third cup. Yes yes, I know. Not the most healthy decision. But it's National Coffee Day! I have to!

Alright guys, let's have a frank conversation. Our blog posts cover a myriad of topics, ranging from Allcare outings to photos of nerdy costumes. But let's not forget what Allcare Medical really does: we provide products that oftentimes nobody really wants to talk about.

 

But here, we don't believe anyone needs to be ashamed or embarrassed about ANY product. In fact, when we hear about a great new catheter, we get excited and we want to share it with you.

 

National Orange Juice Day

If you're like me, you had no idea that there was an entire day of the year devoted to orange juice but apparently there is! In my daily trawlings of diet-related blogs, I discovered that today  marks a yearly homage of that ol' refrigerator staple: orange juice!

 

Nerdiness at Allcare!

Here at  the Allcare Medical Blog, we typically write about goings-on at work or health news or policy changes. But it's not very often that us employees manage to work elements of our personal lives into these little informational tidbits. Sometimes, though, these things DO cross over.

 

By day, I'm typically a Prior Approval Specialist Extraordinaire (or something). But by night.........well, okay, typically I watch movies in my PJs and play with my dogs. I do, however, have a few fun hobbies that make their way into the workplace!

Freezin' for a Reason 2011

Allcare Medical took the Polar Plunge on Saturday, January first, in Southie!

 

The Polar Plunge is a tradition stretching back for years but this year we had extra special reason to jump. Kelly, who spent a week this past summer at Camp Sunshine, discovered that we could raise money for Camp Sunshine by doing the plunge. We couldn't think of any better way to be a part of this and we all decided to make the leap!
